Alan Sheers - The Man in Me

Best LP on this UK Xian-based private label. Title track’s a Dylan cover, but all other songs are original: three or four are harmonica-driven electric folk rockers, but the bulk are gorgeous Bill Fay/Michael Blount-style baroque pop vignettes awash with social comment, mesmerising string quartets and melancholy vocals. Nice laminated front sleeve, M- condition, very interesting, an album to re-discover!
